Screen Acting 1

This course is for both acting novices and seasoned theatre performers who wish to hone their on-camera skill set.

During the course you will cover:
- Audition self-tape technique
- Script Analysis
- Character Development
- Improvisation

Class sizes are limited to 6-12 people per session to allow for individual attention and development.

Accent Kickstarter

This workshop is designed for beginners and actors who need brushing-up on their Standard American Accent.

Course content covers the voice placement and accent techniques needed to begin developing a conversational US accent.

Class sizes are limited to 3-8 people per session to allow for individual attention and development.

Note: Enrolling in weekly classes after completing Accent Kickstarter is strongly recommended in order to achieve a natural and conversational Standard American Accent. See Voice & Accent Classes for more details on this.

Weekly Classes

Acting Intensive

For those who actively practice in the industry or are pursuing the arts. Content varies each term to ensure our actors are versatile and prepared for any auditions and bookings. Content includes (but is not limited to):

- Scene work
- Work with visiting guest directors
- Improvisation
- Self-taping
- Cold reading
- Voice Over
- Industry guidance

Price $395 for 10 weeks.

Voice & Accent

Each term you will develop and maintain a Standard American accent, as it's the most crucial for international auditions.

For versatility actors also experiment with new accents, including (but not limited to) Standard British, Southern American, Irish, Russian, Cockney, French, and German.
We use scripted scenes as well as improvisations to teach a convincing conversational accent.

Price $395 for 10 weeks.

Q: How many students per workshop/class?

A: There is a maximum of 14 students per teacher for each workshop/class.


Q: How do I book into weekly classes?

A: After completing the workshop we email you booking links to our weekly classes. There are usually 2-3 options for each age group.

You can check-out our timetable below. We do not publish these booking links on the website as not all classes are suitable for everyone – this is just a guide.


Q: How do I get an agent?

A: The best way to get on the books with an agent is through training and experience. The Ali Roberts Studio is not an agency, although we do notify our currently enrolled students when suitable audition opportunities arise.
